As summer draws to a close and children head back to school, we need to realize these precious gems are going to be zipping around on their skateboards, bikes, scooters, roller blades and every other kid friendly wheeled contraption known to man; across streets, avenues, and parking lots, often at breakneck speed and often without looking first.
Westwood's Community Spotlight: Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing organization that enables families to participate in home ownership. Through donations of money and materials, Habitat for Humanity volunteers, build homes for families that otherwise would not be able to afford a home.

Unless you’re a school teacher, most of us probably don’t know how many school days there are in a year? If you’re curious, most provinces across Canada have 190 school days with the school year typically starting after Labour Day in September and running to the end of June.
Another Successful Project Completed by Westwood!
Westwood was awarded a multi-phase retrofit of the various mills in Evraz’s Regina Steelmaking Plant. We started this project in July of 2016 with a peak manpower of approximately 90 people.
Westwood Named Engineering Co-op Employer of the Year
We are pleased to announce that Westwood has been named 2016 Engineering Co-op Employer of the Year by the University of British Columbia (UBC Okanagan). Westwood has hosted 12 electrical engineering students since joining the program in 2015.
