Our Process

Bid Stage

Whenever possible, Westwood takes advantage of opportunities to visit the site. That way, we better understand customer objectives, scope of the work and any challenges we can discuss with the customer. With a thorough and complete understanding of the scope of the project, the package and the specs, we eliminate surprises.

  1. Team selection and project hand-off from estimating
  2. Contract review to ensure thorough understanding and compliance
  3. Site specific safety plan and hazard assessment
  4. Work face planning to establish and start creation of Field Installation Work Package (FIWP)
  5. Detailed Primavera construction schedule, bulk construction and system based scheduling depending on project requirements
  6. Commodity tracking for actual and transparent progress reporting

Mobilization

With comprehensive planning and preparation as well as A-Z completion of the customer’s pre-mobilization requirements, our crew is able to get on the project site and work in a safe and productive way.

Execution

With the right plans, systems and people on the job, Westwood delivers high quality installations safely as well as on time and on budget. As part of our proactive change management procedures, if our team recognizes an issue, we communicate it right away to help mitigate cost overruns.

Turnover

As a result of employing a thorough quality management system, we keep deficiencies low and test sheets accurate from start to finish. Prior to client walk-downs, Westwood will perform internal construction walk-downs to minimize punch list items which in turn will increase efficiency of project turn-over.  At final acceptance, we ensure all red lines and final acceptance documentation is  accurate and place them in the binders we turnover to the client.

Demobilization

After turnover is complete, final acceptance has been signed off and the customer project objectives have been met, our crews and equipment are transferred to another project site.
