The last few months have been very exciting as we continue to engage with Indigenous communities in Saskatchewan. Working closely with the Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI), an organization that helps meet the educational and cultural needs of the Saskatchewan Métis community, we have committed to an academic scholarship.

As summer draws to a close and children head back to school, we need to realize these precious gems are going to be zipping around on their skateboards, bikes, scooters, roller blades and every other kid friendly wheeled contraption known to man; across streets, avenues, and parking lots, often at breakneck speed and often without looking first.
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing organization that enables families to participate in home ownership. Through donations of money and materials, Habitat for Humanity volunteers, build homes for families that otherwise would not be able to afford a home.
Unless you’re a school teacher, most of us probably don’t know how many school days there are in a year? If you’re curious, most provinces across Canada have 190 school days with the school year typically starting after Labour Day in September and running to the end of June.
Westwood was awarded a multi-phase retrofit of the various mills in Evraz’s Regina Steelmaking Plant. We started this project in July of 2016 with a peak manpower of approximately 90 people.
